Ginetta  Junior

Douglas Motorsport have competed in Ginetta Juniors from 2012 to 2019, enjoying lots of success and seeing so many young drivers get their first racing experience outside of karting. Since 2019, Douglas Motorsport have paused their Ginetta Junior program in order to concentrate on British Formula 3.

Douglas Motorsport began specializing in Ginetta Junior in 2012, winning our first round in class and taking 6 further wins on the way with both drivers taking wins, podiums and Lap records. Niall Murray narrowly lost out on the championship title due to drop scores, having amassed the most points over season. In the 2013 championship Keith Donegan finished a strong Second in Junior championship taking 4 wins, with both drivers having a strong season taking wins, podiums and fastest laps. In 2014 we concentrated our efforts on the Ginetta super Cup, then in 2015 Ginetta Junior Scholarship winner Stuart Middleton joined the team and won the 2015 Ginetta Junior Winter series.

For 2016, Douglas Motorsport again was the destination of the Ginetta Junior Scholarship winner, Daniel Harper, joining forces with previous scholarship winter Stuart Midleton. We were also joined by Enzo Fittipaldi for the first  half of the season, giving him an introduction to racing in the UK. The season ended with Daniel Harper winning the Rookie title and Stuart Midleton finishing as overall Vice-Champion.

2017 brought more success for Douglas Motorsport in the Ginetta Junior Championship. We won the team championship thanks to great performances by Daniel Harper ( 7 race wins, 8 further podium finishes), Kiern Jewiss who had an amazing rookie season  ( 1st place in Rookie competition – 17 Rookie wins, 4 rookie podium finishes with 1 win and 12 podiums in the overall championship)  and Tom Canning who finished 4th in the rookie championship after picking up a number of rookie podiums after showing consistent timpovements.

After competing in 5 rounds of the 2018 Ginetta Junior Championship, both Lorcan Hanafin and Gustav Burton returned for the 2019 Michelan Ginetta Junior Championship. They were joined by rookie Bailey Voisin who made make his car-racing debut in the Ginetta G40.
