The BRDC British F3 Championship visited the Grand Prix circuit at Brands Hatch for Rounds 16, 17, 18 of the 2017 series.

Things got off to a bright start for Douglas Motorsport with Callan O’Keeffe clocking the quickest time over two days of practice on Thursday and Friday, and Jordan Cane rounded off the top 10.

The two Douglas Motorsport drivers were more closely matched in Saturday qualifying, Callan O’Keeffe qualified in 5th with Jordan Cane close behind in 6th, separated by only .067 secs. Race 1 was cut short by heavy rain, after a number of drivers skated off the track. When the red flag came out and the race declared after 8 laps, the two Douglas drivers had gained 1 position each, O’Keeffe 4th, Cane 5th.

Two cars in the top 5 was to be the highlight of the weekend for the team. In race 2 Jordan Cane was unfortunate to get caught up in a first lap accident, while Callan O’Keeffe finished in 7th. In race 3, O’Keeffe picked up another 4th position finish with Jordan Cane in 12th.

The penultimate meeting of the 2017 Championship is at Snetterton on 26/27 August.  There is no doubt that both drivers and the team will be pushing for podium places.
