Former Ginetta Junior Champion Jamie Caroline will enter the upcoming Duo BRDC British Formula 3 Autumn Trophy at Snetterton (29/30 October) with Douglas Motorsport.

Caroline will step up to British F3 having raced in the F4 British Championship this year, where he finished 10th overall taking a win on the Grand Prix circuit at Brands Hatch, along with four other podium finishes across the season.

Prior to that, Caroline won the 2015 Ginetta Junior Championship following a thrilling title fight with Senna Proctor, with the 17-year-old coming out on top by virtue of race wins after both drivers finished level on points. He claimed the 2014 Ginetta Junior Winter Series title and also enjoyed success in karting, finishing as runner-up in the 2011 MSA British Cadet and Super One Championships, before graduating to European level karting.

Caroline said: “I can’t wait to race in the Duo BRDC British F3 Autumn Trophy at Snetterton this weekend! I enjoyed a really good test last week and with a team as well prepared as Douglas Motorsport, I think we can score some really strong results in Norfolk.”

Wayne Douglas, Team Principal of Douglas Motorsport, added: “It is great to be running Jamie in the Duo BRDC British F3 Autumn Trophy and we are sure that he will go well at Snetterton. We know that he is a very talented young driver, as evidenced by his success in Ginetta Juniors and British F4, and we are looking forward to continuing his development as he steps up to British F3.”

The 2016 Duo BRDC British Formula 3 Autumn Trophy enables drivers to get their first taste of British F3 whilst also offering additional mileage for those drivers remaining with the championship for a second campaign.
